Napoleon Hill was an American author who wanted to teach the world how to acquire wealth and anything that anyone aspires to in life. Napoleon Hill was a problem child who seemed en route to a bad end, until her stepmother gave her a typewriter and encouraged him to use. At 13 he began writing as a journalist for newspapers in small towns around. With her earnings, she enrolled to study law, but had to withdraw for financial reasons. In 1908 he was sent to interview Andrew Carnegie, who at that time was one of the richest men in the world. Carnegie thought that the process of success could be implemented in a simple formula to be used by any person to succeed.
Carnegie Napoleon impressed and instructed him to interview over 500 successful people, most millionaires, to discover and publish this formula for success. Hill then met Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, George Eastman, Henry Ford, Elmer Gates, John D. Rockefeller, Charles M. Schwab, FW Woolworth, William Wrigley Jr., John Wanamaker, William Jennings Bryan, Theodore Roosevelt, William H. Taft, Woodrow Wilson, Charles Allen Ward and , among others, in a project that lasted more than 20 years. During this time Hill became Carnegie consultant.
